Welcome to Hankyong National University, a university with 80 years of history.
After its foundation in 1939 as Anseong Public Agricultural School, our school was later reorganized into a general university through the system of Anseong Agricultural High School, Anseong College of Agriculture, and Anseong Industrial University, which laid the foundation for becoming the representative national university of Gyeonggi-do.
Hankyong National University has been planning new paradigms for our society and presenting new values at turning points of respective eras.
In the meantime, our university has achieved outstanding achievements in projects hosted by the Ministry of Education, contributing to the development of the community through industry-academia collaborations. Further, we have grown across a wide range of education, research, and international exchanges by collaborating with leading universities around the world to strengthen our capabilities in terms of global talent development and internationalization.
In this year that marks our 80th anniversary, we will more firmly position ourselves as a prominent national university in Gyeonggi-do. . As a national university, we will play a pivotal role in higher education and become a leader in higher education and innovation in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
We will become the university that contributes to the community and nation through student-oriented communication, an innovation of university culture, and educational innovation that strikes a harmonious chord among people, nature, and science and technology.
We usher in our 80th anniversary at rather trying times. Yet, we will take the opportunity to turn this crisis into a new determination and development. and all stakeholders of our school will combine forces to realize our vision of “university that forges the way, and prominent national university in Gyeonggi-do.”
